Product Description
23 X 31 Aluminum Screen Printing Frames Stretched With Murakami S-Mesh.
Why Murakami S-Mesh??
Murakami S-Mesh has a thinner thread than its standard equivalent. This leads to more open area (opacity) while still leaving a thinner/softer print.
- Less squeegee pressure needed.
- Stronger base plate opacity.
- Softer Hand plastisol prints.
- More retained details in the print.
- Stonger color for discharge with more image detail.
- Higher mesh counts can be used with similar results to lower mesh counts.
- 45 and 55 line halftones can be imaged on 150LX and 180LX.
135S - Halftone Base Plates, Spot Color, HSA Inks, Discharge, Waterbase, Plastisol, 50 line halftones
150S - Same as 135S with the difference being 45 and 55 line halftones.
180S - Higher tonal capture of base plates, less ink usage. Same inks as 135S and 150S
225S - 65 Line base plates, upper limit for discharge and HSA. Detailed spot colors, spot color overprints.
Why Spot Color Supply Frames??
- We ONLY use high quality mesh (No unknown house brands here!!)
The heart of every screen printing frame is the mesh it is stretched with. Just because mesh is labeled as low elongation doesn't mean it is true. Trust the leaders in our industry, Saati and Murakami have been manufacturing high tension, low-elongation mesh for many years.
- All frames are prepped using a Grunig G-Prep 320
In our quest to make the best pre-stretched frames available, we found frame preparation to be difficult to accomplish by hand. The factory bead blast on most frames is a less than perfect glue surface, and belt sanders/grinders gave inconsistent results. The Grunig G-Prep 320 was the answer. The rotating cutter leaves a consistent highly textured surface, perfect for frame glue adhesives.
- Starting tension is 28-32 newtons depending on mesh counts.
High tension screens simply print better... Higher tension equals more open area and lower off contact. No name mesh wont cut it (We tried). This is yet another reason why we only use High Quality Saati and Murakami mesh. Frames are stretched to 28-32 newtons expecting them to settle around 23-25 newtons.
- We only use the best adhesives.
2 Part Polyurethane glue is very chemical resistant, After grinding we pre-coat the frame with adhesive to create the best possible bond between the aluminum and mesh. plus once cured it has a rubbery texture that is easier on mesh and your hands.
- Permanent blockout is available
Tired of wasting time and money on tape? Try permanent blockout!! Our new and improved blockout is extremely chemical resistant, and adds an additional layer of protection to the frame adhesive. We then finish off with a bead of silicon around the inside edge. Just coat, burn, and its ready for the press.

GREAT STATIC Murakami Smart Mesh screens....
These screens are great. Perfect tension on arrival, and settle to a good workable 22 - 24 N after use. Less pressure needed for printing, , better print control.. no more need for 35+ newtons for quality printing. Highly recommended for anyone switching their system over to all S Mesh statics... - John @ DCSP

GREAT QUALITY STATIC FRAMES WITH THE BONUS OF MURAKAMI S MESH
Received 6 frames on 3/26. All frames were clean and stretched to specified newtons +/- 2newtons. Glue is very well applied and I expect these screens to last based on the build quality

Best static frames I've ever used.
I've tried s-thread static frames from a few other companies, and no one has come close to the quality and tension that Spot Color does. These frames come in extremely tight and hold the tension for quite some time. I have screens that are over a year old that are holding at the same tension as when I got them. Whatever system they have for stretching these frames is impeccable. I originally wanted to switch to shurloc or roller frames, but since using these statics I really don't see how it can get much better. I can't say enough good things about these frames.

Excellent with permanent blockout
S-mesh on static frames has put to death the common convention that roller frames and high mesh are the only path to superior screen printing.

Excellent Quality
Frames and mesh are clean, glue is very consistent, mesh has even tension. Excellent quality and attention to detail. Cleaner, brighter, softer hand prints with less pressure on higher mesh counts, higher Lpi and detail on lower mesh counts, s-mesh is a game changer!

Very Good Static Frame
This frame is lightweight and mesh is pretty great. It is a nice option.
